here is described as a fixed exe, so you still need a cd in the drive. However this does not have to be the original, just do a copy with any copying program (even Nero) and it will work with that backup, no need to try a 100% exact copy. And of course Alcohol120% should be able to make backups/play from the hard disk
I haven't seen a german 1.04 yet if that's what you want...
