Evidently, this is the only difference between 1.16 and 1.16a.
"The v1.16a patch fixes a bug that was triggered by the v1.16 patch with an akbaa stone in the akbaa temple."
I Don't know if it is a showstopper bug or not, but if it's not then Rincewind, is right, just stick with 1.16.
