Dont know much about neokey but can help a bit on the rest.

First off Clone and DJ are software programs that are used in conjunction with your cd writer to "copy" cds. In my opinion clone is the baby but only certain writers are compatible. DJ is padus discjuggler which is an excellent program.

Clone will copy most protections employed by various software houses in order to make perfect 1:1 copies so no need to patch games

You need to use suitable blank cd media (CDR)for producing copies as the ps2 can be a bit fussy as regards to cdrs. I use discplanet 80m grade A discs but there is plenty of other makes that are compatiable.

To copy PS2 discs you need to do the following ,

first see if the game is normal cdrom(purple bottom) or dvd rom(silver bottom) .
If the disc is a cdrom game then just pop in your writer and copy using clone ! simple as that.

DVD rom games cannot be copied using a normal cd writer. You can rip the games using a DVD reader and then using your CDRW to write the game back to CDR but this a complicated process ( see posts lower down forum ) or you could use a DVD writer but these are expensive

Also to boot backup cds on you ps2 you need to use an AR2/Gameshark/region x or extreme fm cd

hope this sheds some light but im sure others will supply more information.
