The A05 is an excelent choice for a dvd burner. CloneCd works fine with the A05, but I think Alcohol 120 is the prefered choice of software for pc games.
dvdxcopy is an excellent dvd burning program, as well as dvd2one. Your Toshiba dvd rom is fine. I am not sure how good a job the A05 will be at burning pc games. The prefered cd burner for this is a Lite-On. A $300-$400 video card? You can get good 64 mb video card for $100 or less.
