Just an update. I took the advice of Mr. Ricky and bought a 3 pack of Memorex DVD-R. I burned at 1x and the game now boots fine on my V7 with Magic 2. It will not however boot on my V4 no-solder/Swap Magic. Might be a laser issue. I always thought Memorex was "cheap" media and didn't work well but it sure did on this game. This is the only game that wouldn't boot with Verbatim.
