Its kinda hard ... too many unknown varibles from your end ..
1) .. under hardware settings, is your network card OK ( IE: no errors )
2) .. Are you connecting from the Xbox, through a hub, or direct to the PC.
3) .. do you know if your network cable is a crossed cable or normal.
4) .. have you tried your Xbox & cable in another location.
Try changing your network card and cable. I`m pretty sure without a hub, you need a crossover cable. ( I run through a Router, so i`ve never tryed )
