I've heard Xenosaga is on a DVD9, if so you won't be able to back it up unless you rip it to a regular dvd-r.
PS2 originals work even better than backups, for magic2 is the same boot procedure as a backup.
Remember you are supposed to own the original in order to make a backup of it.
