It depends on what version ps2 you have. If you have a v5 or higher, +r will work fine. Check
here to see what version you have. You can use either type of media for dvd movies. If you are going to use your ps2 as your dvd player, either media will do, but +r will probably only work if you have a v5 or higher. Dvdxcopy supports both types of media.
