Don't know what you have for equipment but it makes all the difference in the world. My first install was done with the wires that came in the kit and my friends relatively large tiped 25w soldering iron. Decided that I had enough friends interested to get the proper equipment(15w soldering iron, .2mm tip, 32 gauge wire, desoldering tool...)and it makes all the difference in the world. As for the S wire, I have found that it makes it easier if you get just a little thicker layer of solder on the wire for these points. There doesn't seem to be sufficent solder if any on these points to hold the wire.
