Make sure you have configured the evoX.ini. Here are some of my settings but you can change these when evox is installed on the HD.
[Misc]
AutoLaunchGames = No
AutoLaunchDVD = No
DVDPlayer = "c:\Applications\dvdx\default.xbe"
AutoLaunchAudio = Yes
#AudioPlayer = "c:\msxboxdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard = "c:\msxboxdash.xbe"
UseFDrive = Yes
SkinName = Administr8or
IGR = Yes
[Network]
SetupNetwork = Yes
StaticIP = Yes
Ip = 192.168.0.157
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway = 192.168.0.1
DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
DNS2 = 0.0.0.0
Enter the TCP/IP Properties for your network card and where it's say's obtain IP and DNS Address automatically make sure these are ticked, then click on the alternate configuration tab and enter the IP address manually 192.168.0.1, Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0 and everything else should be left blank. Also, in the Advanced options under WINS i enabled Netbios over TCP/IP, as this sorted out a few connection proplems. Make sure as well that your firewall is turned off, i.e. Zonealarm for example.
