try copying an image to the hard drive first, and always burn at a slow speed (1x) to minimize on makeing coasters. It may be best to have the orginal image file bakc up, in RAR format of course. That can be burned quickly, and will alway be there if you ever need another copy.

Also if you are trying to make a copy from one CD-ROM to the burner, a lot standard CD-ROMs aren't very good at reading discs like that. It is almost alway best to read it to the hard disc from the burner, as it will most times be more reliable. But again, having the orginal RARed image file backup is probably the easiest way. It just unRARing an image and buring.
