I have the english version, and it sure has a CD-check. A too much secured CD-check, actually. I bought the game and after I installed the 1.06 patch, the game failed to recognize my Europa Universalis 2 CD (even though it's a 100% legit copy). No matter what I tried to do, the game keeps asking for the game CD, even though the game CD is already in the drive.
That's why I ask for a crack for version 1.06 as well, and I hope someone can help me on the subject sooner or later, because I paid good money for the game, and the technical support doesn't seem to help at all.
