It worked fine for me. You *do* need a working CD ###, not a ###gen'd one. (I think so, anyway) Here's what I did ..
- Uninstalled Diablo II (save your chars, of course)
- Installed Diablo II (Full install)
- Installed Diablo II: LoD (Full install; go back to the installer and upgrade the install to full)
- Ran Diablo II: LoD 1.08 Patch (from Blizzard's ###)
- Used dARWIN's DLoad.exe and Game_crk2.exe (rename to Game_crk.exe)
I'm able to play single and multiplayer without any CDs, and BNET works just fine since I used a real CD ###. (No, you can't have mine.)
The only real problem with the way I installed it is that your D2 directory will be ~1.87GB .. So this isn't for small HDs.
