It is likely that the ATIP check is stopping you from playing them.
Briefly:
Every CD-R has an ATIP. It contains information on dye colour, manufacturer, length etc. Pressed (original) cds dont have an ATIP as it's not required.
So the game does a simple check to see if an ATIP is present and if it is then it won't play. The flaw with this protection is that only cd-writers can read ATIP, so if you played in a normal cd-rom then it would not be able to detect it.

You have two options:
Play in a non cd-writer or
Install Alcohol on the other machine and use it's "Ignore Media Type" fucntion in order to hide the ATIP whilst the game is running.
