The messiah and the apple are awesome mods. If you read charlie's verdict they work 100% of the time and they are no-swap chips. A step below the messiah 2.

The no-solder chip is not actually even a mod, it just forces the tray out without the ps2 knowing. Kinda a fancy knife swap if you ask me. And they don't work 100% of the time. Do your research before posting a reply like that.

And BTW I have experienced the no-solder chip, the apple and the messiah 2. No swap vs. swap....No comparison.
