There was a REASON for me to ask if your original worked. So you have one. DOES it work or not ? If you want to be helped, we have to start somewhere. Make sure you don't get the same error if you try installing from your original. It sounds like a bad copy anyway. Use clonecd to make another copy (or an image on the hard disk mounted with daemon tools if you want to test the image before writing a new cd), make sure you use the "game cd" profile and first edit that profile to use a lower read speed (preferably 4x), this should help you get a good image on your hard disk, if you don't have any problem mounting that image with daemon tools and installing/playing from it, you can safely write it away to a cd.
