There's only one crack for 3.1.1.7 on GCW and it's NOT a nocd, it's a fixed exe. A fixed exe disables the copy protection but if the game has an additional cd check (they usually have) then you still need to have a backup in the drive. Try
the 3.1 nocd here and tell me if it works for you (it may not be for 3.1.1.7 but you can always try). It's the one with "gimpsRus - no CD" under it.
