dudes

this is how i understand it
if you have a mod chip installed and use evox as your primary dashbourd be carefull.
if you connect to live running a game with the dashupdate.xbe file
it will update your dashboard, the problem arises if the evox dash has been renamed xboxdash.xbe as the update will rewrite it and your xbox will not boot up after.
if you have a ybox bios installed you dont have to rename the evox dash to xboxdash.xbe as the bios does not boot from the xboxdash it boots straite from the evoxdash which you rename to yboxdash.xbe.
you can also replace the dashupdate.xbe file from the game with the evox dash renamed to dashupdate.xbe, so if the update triggers it should reboot to the evox dash and avoid harm.

p.s it's still a good idea to keep a backup of the c drive so if you encounter this problem you can boot from evox using a cd-rw /dvd-r/rw and replace the damaged data on the c drive

hope this helps

later dudes
