Maybe because you would close the wrong topics, like this one ? Your efforts are appreciated, krondike, but one the main reasons that only the mods have this kind of power, is that otherwise useful threads would get closed/deleted. If some people on this board had mod power (I'm not going to say names
) then more than 80% of threads would get closed/deleted and I would have been banned a long time ago
There's more to being a mod than just exercising your power...
