Messiah 2 is'n't worth the upgrade in my view. There's no difference worth bothering with. You can see what Messiah 2 does at

The HBC 2 mod - give me the URL please. I hope it's not that Messiah 2 fake from Hong Kong. That will give you grief, I believ, being a Magic 3 Fake as well.
