Here is some logic to screw with your mind. Heat destroys electronics... PERIOD. If you get alot of dust in your equipment, what will ultimately destroy it is the heat because it will be trapped. This is commonly what destroys tvs or monitors. The static pull from the tube attracts lots of dust and eventually something overheats and, *poof*.

I have parrots so dust is always a problem, they generate a fine powder actually. My solution is I have a 20 inch (.5 meter?) box fan with a square air filter taped to the back side of it, the fan runs all the time. It is amazing how much crap is caught in the filter.
