Your message sort of contradicts itself. First you say there really is'nt a difference between 9 and 23 wires, but then you say the more complicated things get, the more chances of breaking it.

I sort of agree with the second statement, even though I do it for a living (electronics), when it comes to surface mount tack soldering, the fewer wires you have to deal with, the better your odds are with success.
