Any places to get a PS2 modded in Northern California?
Well, I just wasted forty bucks on a useless no-solder "modchip". Damn thing isn't even a real mod, it's just a bypass that allows the drive to eject without alerting the system. It doesn't do anything that can't be done by simply opening up the system and switching the discs by hand (which is what I've been doing ever since I got my PS2). So, I need to get a REAL modchip installed and I'm not comfortable with solder and electronics, I'm worried I might ruin the thing. If you don't already know, it's getting increasingly difficult to find specialty shops for gaming and modding in California, I think the authorities are cracking down on it. If there aren't any places in California, I woudln't mind mailing it out, just not overseas. The S&H would be way too expensive.
Thanks in advance.
