CDRWin will tell you what it finds when you try to read or burn something. So here's what I suggest. Put a CD in the DVD ROM and ask CDRWin (and/or CloneCD) to copy it to the CDR you place into the 7586. If all devices are recognised by CDRWin, then move forward by executing the copy. Then try the result. Take a simple unprotected game that won't need patching. Let us know the outcome.
