my advice...
do your homework on modchips, what they look like/whether they direct boot or not/known problems etc.
I've been to a couple of computer fairs in the UK where the guys there (fair play to them they only installing what they have got) have tried to pursuade people to have Neo2.2 or Neo4 chips installed. Make up your mind what modchip you want (Messiah or Messiah 2
) and stick with it.
Dont let them install anything unless you are 100% sure that is what you want.
