PS2 is my speciality but I think I can help you out. Xbox has been much more involved in stopping people from making backups. I heard about being banned for having a chip but I think they might have stopped doing this. You dont have to worry about any of this with a PS2. Dvdr is recommended because that is what xbox and ps2 games are made on. You can use cdr but this requires ripping which takes time and patience. It also requires cutting out many aspects of the game such as video sequences in order to get the game to fit on a cdr. Personally I would go with a PS2. Yes the xbox has better graphics and the headset you can use when playing online is cool but lets face it....xbox games suck. They have really only had a couple great games. PS2 has tons of awesome games. Its not just me who thinks this. PS2 outsells xbox and gamecube combined. You can even look at the number of posts on this forum between PS2, xbox, and gamecube to see the popularity difference. But the choice is yours. I backup PS2 games with extreme ease and would be happy to get you started....IF you choose PS2 over xbox.
