Vast difference between the newer consoles (v7) and the older ones for reading Princo. My guess is that guy has a v4 console or below.
My experience has been both Xbox and v7 PS2 will read Princo media no problem. They can be had for dirt cheap (less then $0.60/disc if you buy in big qtys) at allmediaoutlet.com.
