I am short on time at the moment but when I get around to it I will write a simple step-by-step guide including tools to use how to use them and where to get them.
I will even have a section for how to boot the game.
Deano could do with adding a tools section to his site and a dvd rip section with all the existing rips like gokans etc.
That way we can help to create a definitive ripping information site.

PS. If anyone else has had success with dvd rips and fancies making a simplified tutorial make one and we can improve the information that is already available allowing more people to benefit from our shared knowledge!
