so why defeat it in the first place if your gonna keep it to yourselves? i thought the purpose of this board is to help each other out, its supposed to be a community to help each other backup the games... and part of that is creating a no cd cracked executable to retain the value of the original and thus prolong its life! Geez, if everyone thought that way then there would be no GCW!

Would macrovision update, yes, because if many people can do it, without much help from cracks and stuff, they loose more revenue. How many people don't know what cracks are, but can use a burner?

again... what difference does it make??? so bOOls eYe's unwrapper is the same as peeps burning 1:1 copies, so why hold it and not release it? if not release it, then make public the info to defeat it! if i had the time and knew how, i'd tell the world... i know i dont just speak for myself!

Unwrappers are tools to undo a protection scheme, its use can be easily blocked if the steps that are taken by unwrappers are easily seen. Macrovision already know some of the breakpoints and other areas of code, but if new unwrappers are used they can block more and more off, it just becomes a pain in the ass. And is anyone getting paid here for unwrapping (finding the bugs) the protection scheme? Hell NO. Let them spend thousands to millions and let just the few that can unwrap do it.
