What I was asking, was : Is the original game, patched up to 1.04 but without applying any crack doing the same ? In other words, is it the patch or the nocd that asks for the IFC23.DLL ?
Edit : I've finally located a "IFC23.DLL" over the web, click on
this link to download the "Immersion Web Plugin" for browsers. I don't really know what that has to do with Civ 3 PTW, but when you run this setup, it will install the IFC23.DLL in your windows\system32 directory where it's supposed to be.
Try this and tell me if it works. Now, I've spent about a whole hour of my time locating this, and I found it through only ONE (1) search result of Google. Then I had to look for this plugin and see if the dll was in there. I still don't know why the crack/patch needs it, but after all this trouble, and if this works, I expect a minimum ten lines essay on how great I am (just kidding)
