I don't have it anymore, gave it to a nephew of mine, but I once made a backup disc of the original that worked with v1.10 so I know it's possible. Alas, the backup's there too

I'll tell you what I remember about it : I think I just made a compilation with nero, I copied all files over from the cd, and made a little extra subdirectory with the v1.10 patch. I could be wrong, but I think that's all that was required : just copy over the good files, ignore the oversize ones. I can't tell you which is which of course, so look for "funny' big files and try to determine which contains the setup data and which is just a dummy file. Make a compilation cd like I described, maybe on cdrw to test it without making coasters. It should work fine after you install the v1.10 patch, I think it only checked that the cd was in the drive (don't forget the volume label).
Alternatively, have you tried making an image with clonecd ? Whatever Clonecd can get off the cd, you should be able to mount it with daemon tools and try it with the 1.10 patch. Test this, and if it works, you don't need the cd in the drive at all.
