Yep.... Not many differences other than the boot procedure...

Although the Magic 2 has been known to have problems booting dual layer games such as Xenosaga...
The Messiah 2 boots Xenosaga 100% of the time. (thanks to Charlie_PS2 for the Messiah 2 review on this)
