'YES' the games will fit onto a Cdr if it's a CD based game normally a 80min 700Mb disc. Use CloneCD for direct 1:1 copies, but your burner needs to be compatible with the Program 100% e.g RAW-DAO etc. PS2 patcher is a program that lets you patch ISO, BIN images so that you can remove the protection from the games, add Trainers (i.e infinite lives, level selects) and NTSC2PAL or vice versa patches goto:

CD games are around a few hundred meg to the disc limit of the CD 80min(700Mb) or (74Min 650Mb). DVD games however, on the other hand hold a max of 4.7GB of data, thus a DVD burner is needed, which are the Pioneer A04 or the up and coming A05.
Check on the back of the PS2 case of the game at the bottom to see if it's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.
