Question Question

If someone will try or reply with an answer it might help all of us. This is about burning PS2 games. If you look in the Help Topics in the Sony "Playstation 2" Master Disc Checker 1.20 or Sony CD\DVD-ROM Recording Unit Controller 1.20 (which came with my downloaded copy of the Sony CD\DVD-ROM Generator 1.20 not from Sony of course) it says that there are a few writers that are compatible with Sony's recording unit controller software for making CD master discs and there is 1 burner that it says that supports DVD-ROM Master Disc Generation. That burner is the PIONEER DVR-S201. If someone owns a PIONEER DVR-S201 e-mail me using one of the links. Otherwise if someone could tell me if you can make copies of games using the PIONEER DVR-S201 burner, the sony software and\or any other burning software? The burned copy has to be able to boot on the PS2 without a modchip, swapping the disc or any other possible way of booting a copied disc. It has to boot on its own without any help. It also has to be an exact copy without any hex editting or ripping. The DVD-R you must use is the one I will tell you near the end of this reply. The DVD-R specification I am giving you is an exact copy from the help menu of the recording unit controller. You must use a DVD-ROM format Playstation 2 game. If you do get it to work please (PLEASE) e-mail me so we can talk (have the name of the game you burned or know someone else burned handy). If you need the software I have you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I will send you the three programs mentioned in my reply in a zip format (.zip). You can also check to see if your disc is recognized as a master disk if you have the right CD or DVD Drive with the Sony "Playstation 2" Master Disc Checker 1.20. Here is the DVD-R media disc stuff you will need if you are going to try

DVD-R
Product code DVD-R47PS
Recording capacity 4.7GB

You must use this DVD-R or the data you e-mail me or post on the site is invalid. (Also where I said the disk must be an exact copy I don't mean it has to look the same on the outside for all you idiots). You must also own the game you copy. I have also heard that there are two versions of the PIONEER DVR-S201. They are 1. a commerical version which is able to copy them perfectly and have the games boot perfectly without any problems and 2. the personal version for home use which I have heard is not able to copy the games perfectly { and have them boot right } [ the burned copy of the game will still work with a modchip] because Pioneer doesn't want Joe Shmoe down the street making perfect copies of dvd's, dvd-rom's and games that work right so he can sell them and make a profit because he paid for 1 copy of the game. Just remember that this information about two versions of the PIONEER DVR-S201 might not be true.) Thank you if you read this and if you only read some of this reply thank you because this is a long reply. (I even thank you if you didn't read half the reply although I don't know why.) If you need software and you think I might have it or you have answers to my questions you can can e-mail me (again I post my e-mail address) at [email protected]
