A .rar file is a form of file compression, kinda like .zip. You have to UN-rar it. I use the winace archiver program, get it at
www.winace.com.
It's works like winzip in that they "call" it an evaluation version, but it never quits working. Ha HA! Mine says "30-day evalution exceeded by 60 days" LOL.
Use that and you'll be good to go.
