This might help.
1. Uninstall Clone CD and reboot.
2. Change your system region setting to Canada and reboot.
3. Install Clone CD (DO NOT SELECT AUTO UPDATE)
4. Try to make a 1:1 now
If your region setting is for the US or Japan and some others, it disables the weak sector amplification of Clone CD. Maybe this is causing you trouble. If that doesn't work it's only 1 CDR huh
