i know i'm relativly new at all this but from my exeriance in the past nero isn't the best for writing in mode 2 the same way cdrwin does i have had this problem with nero unless you do a disc to disc copy on the fly.
unfortunatly i don't have a solution either because i can't get PrimoDvd o work and tll you if that's any better - worth a try though
