Hiya peterfriis, just wanted to post the same thing to the forum...
Yeah, no need to fool around with installation, just copy the CD contents into a directory and get a no-CD patch...
However, be warned, the gimpsRus no-CD patch contains some modifications (when compared to the unwrapped executable by Fairlight) whose reasons I couldn't find out! These _may_ cause the game to lock up or behave erratically. I suggest that you use one of the other two no-CD patches: Fl@sh or BH/Evo (these are also based on the Fairlight unprotected executable).
