I think I need to repeat my tests with different media...
I don't think that its a software problem.. It was, I don't think that the disks would boot at all.
I checked out the Tutorials on PSXCOPYWORLD, but they just confirm what I am already doing.. As its a 1:1 disk copy, there is little that you can change...
I have some Traxdata and Neo disks which give good results for DVD movies.. I will give them a go.
However, I am wondering if one of the problems I have with Toca (Black screen) is some kind of protection.
After I get the problem, even the original boots with a 'black screen'.. I have a feeling that its got something to do with the Origia chip..
Once I completely reset the PS2, the original boots fine...
If this is the case, I still have the 'slow loading' problem with my DVD-Rs, but the black screen that I get with TOCA may be unrelated.
