it's all finally over

well my ps2 chipping experience is all over, close to 2 weeks after it started. After not being able to track down wire, then it not recognising an original disc to it not booting up at all. Through it all I never gave up and now it's working sweet, playing burnt cd and dvd games. Now i've just to decide on a dvd burner. I've tested the Ricoh MP5125A DVD+R and it's media works on my pioneer DV525 dvd player and the ps2. Or spend a further $300 on a A04 which will work on the PS2 but unsure of on the DV525. I know coping dvd movies is useless atm without dual layer blank media but they'll come.

Thanks goes out to Charlie for the assistance provided and to my flatmate for his soldering prowess.

and btw, if u are going to get a messiah in your console - GET IT DONE BY A PRO!!!

Cheers,
