Unhappy things i have tried

i have tried a few software packages in my quest to actuall read let alone copy a gc disk and i have had some weird experiences:

using clonecd i can read the disk but the file is made up of dummy data, in fact if you look at the log while it is doing it then u can c the prog is writing it since it cant read it propally. also if u zip the end file it compresses so small it can fit on a 1.4mb floppy disk.

using nero i can read the media and makeup of the disk and it is as follows:

session1: 1,393 Mb - Track01: 1,425,760Kb data mode 1

but it keeps failing to actually read the disk to a image file

using cdrwin it can c the disk but does not recognise the file structure (although it does say the file system is CDFS, which i think is linux file system)

using windows 98se explorer & ms-dos, can also c the disk but only as a audio cd containt a 44k file called track01.cda, although if u look at the properties of the disk it a 1.5gb data cd!!!!!!!

as a last resort i have tried a prog called audiograbber which is used for ripping audio from cd's. using the mscdex call i grabed the 2573.87Mb file from the disk and when viewed on my hdd it was a file1.wav 1.99gb in size and when opened it played 3h 22m 53s of high pitched noise.

i no none of this is actually any good, but its what i have found so far )
