Still paying double for one disc is useless. I have only had 2 bad burns in over 200 dvd-r's I have burned. Now that I think of it I would have saved twice as much as you if you had burned as much as me.
Its like buying a five point harness for use as a seatbelt in your regular car. Its a bit of overkill.
