Burning error and voltage question

I have a Liteon 24x10x40, 7 months old. Has been perfect but
now gets to 2% and then after a while says "power calibration error".
I've tried different CDRs and even moved it to my other PC. Same problem.
It seems to read OK.

I have an Athlon 1800+
Asus A7V333
256 DDRam

Asus probe monitoring software rells me my 12+ voltage is 13.6 and that this is out of acceptable range. It's notorious for exaggerating. The BIOS utility shows it as being 13.02-13.15.
Do you know if this is a major concern?
Could this cause the burner to die?
Would a new power supply fix it?
Any ideas?
