The Messiah IS difficult to install.... BUT, There is NO SUBSTITUTE...... Nothing else is comparable (Except Magic 2, basically same chip)... You can send your PS2 and have a Messiah installed for around $60-80 (US)(not counting price of chip)... In my opinion, thats a great price...
No solder mods are fine... You can play CERTAIN backups... BUT they have too many limitations.....
