u can make a backup of the game, but u still need to have a modded psx. if u have an older system with the i/o port in the back, u can get a game enhancer and plug it in there to play backups. i got lucky and found one at a local game store for only $8. u can also buy the psxhange disc that boots backups w/o any extra modding. its a bit more $ than the enhancer. i use the boot disc on my psone and it works just fine.
these 2 ways are much easier than putting in a mod chip.
