Axiom, not sure where you are and what model PS2 you got...but that is only the PAL version of the chip. That $68 is for the chip only, you gotta pay shipping also. As for the cheapest price--don't hold your breath. The price will be dropping for the PAL soon, if it hasn't already. Hong Kong Toys (
www.ps2modchip.com ) has already reduced some of the "Blue" line to $70. The standard PAL Versions are at

The Magic clones will be gaining market share soon, which may drive the price down again eventually. The newer chips are more or less universal for NTSC/PAL--they have a set of solder points to "jumper-off" the NTSC or PAL usage.
I would steer clear of these guys--they are still green around the edges. Site put up this year, and has broken links--can't even get to their company info and contact pages from the main page.
There is no compromise for quality and reliability--stick to the ones who have made a good name for themselves.
