HID.DLL = Human Interface Device driver in Windows..usually refers to a keyboard/mouse/joypad/joystick - USB in the main. Try checking for new drivers for these items and/or reinstall the HID.DLL in safe mode..

If you have a VIA southbridge, try the USB filter patch.
