Now when I think about it I was playing a dvd the last time I used it and accidentaly hit dongle region free to play it, anyways apparently that messed it up so bad there was no way to change it back...

F drive has two folders, 1)Games 2)Apps. Inside Apps I have the XBMP folder which contains the default.xbe

Sounds like a bad burn....
I am assuming you burned it to disk, I had a similar problem with Soldier of Fortune, I re ftp the game and reburned it using the data burn method worked fine.
P.S. kick butt game !!!
