The MOST important thing to burn DVDs for PS2 is to make sure that the burning is done at constant speed.
I use nero7 (even nero6) to burn my DVDs (smartbuy DVD+RW 1-4X [Prodisc]) but nero doesn't...

NO, because the scope of the Step by Step guide is to avoid inserting the CD in drive.:p
So when you've done the full image of FM2006 then just mount it with Alcohol or Daemon Tools.
