Actually my laser is and had already been clean.Im 100% sure that just like my gc the ps2 didnt fare well when using a a/c transfomer/lower cycles and higher volts when i was in england.

I do know what your talking about.I expected my ps2 to die within a few yrs anyway.Its just kinda funny that when i moved back to the states the crap wont read dvd-rs but worked fine 1 month before....
